I
have a two fold question really I cant seem to
feel happy these days. I have been married for almost 20 years
to the same man and working for almost 14 years for the same
company. Both relationships have had good and bad as with everyone,
but I just feel like I want to run away and be alone and start
over a lot of the time anymore. However, I do love my husband
and son and enjoy my job (at least mostly these days) and need
the income (which would be hard to duplicate at this point in
my career). Was wondering if there is an astrological reason
for my dissatisfaction or guidance for something I should be
doing?
A:
You have indeed been hit with a number of planetary transits
over the past few years, most notably in 2006 when transiting
Pluto formed a square (challenging aspect) to your natal Saturn/Chiron
conjunction and began to bring to the surface old hurts and
resentments and possibly creating some health problems as well.,
or a general malaise. This dynamic continued throughout 2007
and will be completing this August and September.
At
the same time, transiting Uranus made a square to Mars in your
chart, which is already squared by Uranus and Pluto in your
chart. This was all part of the famous "Uranus Opposition"
which occurs at around age 40-41 when Uranus in the sky opposes
Uranus in our birthchart and forces us to look at our lives
to see where we are dissatisfied. There is an innate restlessness
within you as depicted by the square of Uranus and Pluto to
your Mars, which makes you a bit of a rebel and forces you to
continually look at your life to see where change needs to occur.
This is very important to your progress, but it's not always
easy because of that square from Pluto which also squares your
Sun.
2007
would have been particularly intense as Uranus opposed your
natal Uranus and Pluto as well, continuing this theme. And then
in April of this year Uranus began a square to your Sun, shedding
more light for you on what it is that you really want to do
with the rest of your life.
In
April of this year transiting Jupiter crossed the cusp of your
seventh house and gave you the confidence to begin making some
changes - this is a cycle that will continue throughout June
and return at the end of the year along with the return of Uranus.
The changes that are necessary don't necessarily need to be
made externally, but you will know if that is what is called
for. But there's no doubt that this is a time when you are being
enticed to give up whatever in your life has become stale (Uranus)
or where you have lost your freedom (Jupiter).
