Creativity and a sense of something new

Coming on the heels of the Full Moon at 15 degrees Capricorn on the 7th, the Moon forms a nice sextile to Uranus early in the morning of the 8th which helps to shake off any cobwebs from emotional reactions that may have prevailed the previous day. Uranus encourages us to see things differently; to change our perspective and to look at life in a whole new way. This is like opening the curtains and letting the sun shine into the world of our emotional life.

A little later in the morning the Moon makes a trine to Mars (at around 5:45 am EDT) which helps to energize us, a helpful planetary aspect for this early morning!

The Moon leaves Capricorn for innovative Aquarius at around 11 am EDT. Suddenly there is a little more excitement in the air and a heightened concern for fairness and balance in our dealings with others. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, so the Uranian theme is continued throughout the day. A focus on humanitarian concerns and new ideas is the new order of the day here.

In the early evening on the 8th the Moon makes a trine to Venus which is in Gemini. This is a beautiful aspect for creativity and love since the Moon and Venus are naturally compatible. Venus is in Gemini where there is a need to share this creative impulse with others. This aspect will only last for a few hours, but if you have any creative projects that need to be tackled, this is a great time for it.
