Sorry for the delay folks!  If you’re on my mailing list you will receive your newsletter today. Meanwhile the article is posted in its entirety here, and here’s the overview for June to get you started:

The month of June is full of planetary shifts and realignments, beginning with the now world-famous Transit of Venus on June 6 th which coincides with a retrograde Venus and a solar eclipse at the New Moon in Sagittarius a few days earlier. Venus conjoins the Sun during the eclipse, and since it is traveling retrograde its influence is more intensely personal than during other times of the year. The strong Venus influence inspires us to reassess our relationships, and you may be finding yourself confronting aspects of yourself in your relationships with others that need to be realigned and reprocessed so that you can move forward in your own personal evolution.

The square between Uranus in Aries to Pluto in Capricorn that began last year when the two planets came within a degree of each other is tightening and is within a degree as June begins. This aspect will culminate on the 24 th and we will continue to see political upheaval and a great deal of push and pull in our own lives as we move inexorably towards a new paradigm of existence. The Uranus/Pluto cycle will continue through 2014 with seven exact hits, so this is a long-range cycle of evolution and transformation. Change is inevitable now, and it cannot be denied. There are no U-turns, but the change that is occurring is necessary for us all to be able to shift into the Aquarian age. Some of us will feel a terrifying loss of control, but if we embrace the shift as a necessary aspect of the transformation of the age that we are in we will find that our world is unfolding and evolving just as it needs to be.

Jupiter changes signs this month, moving into Gemini on the 11 th where it will stay for about a year. This will be a period of an expansive (Jupiter) spread of knowledge and ideas (Gemini) which will be a great aid to help us to mentally process all of the changes that are occurring on an intellectual level and gain greater understanding. We also have the second New Moon in Gemini occurring this month and Ceres moving into Gemini by the end of the month, so the Geminian influence of the intellect and a hunger for experience is powerful now.

There is some danger that all of this Gemini influence can take us so deeply into the mental realm that we split off from feelings and emotions, but this is unlikely to happen in June because Mercury, planet of the mind, will be in emotional Cancer to help us to access our feelings and emotions with greater ease. Overall this is an extremely benefic influence for a period of great change such as the one we are in.

We also have three planets changing direction: Neptune turns retrograde on the 4 th, Chiron turns retrograde on the 12 th and Saturn turns direct on the 25 th. All three planets have slowed down to a crawl as they prepare to change direction, which means that their influence is that much stronger. Stationary Neptune demands that we remember who we really are: spiritual beings having a human experience. Chiron has the effect of exposing our old wounds so that they can be healed, and stationary Saturn demands that we face up to our responsibilities and learn the art of patience.

Solar eclipse at the Gemini New Moon, May 20 2012

eclipse May 20 2012by Lynn Hayes  Please note that the URL of this blog has changed and update your bookmarks.

This Solar Eclipse at the Gemini New Moon marks a brand new beginning and a fresh start.   New Moons mark the beginning of the lunar cycle, and a New Moon at the first degree of a sign carries its own signature of a new beginning. Gemini is the sign of awakening the mind: the mental curiosity that takes us into new experiences and new ways of looking at the world.

This New Moon is an eclipse because it occurs near the Nodes of the Moon – in this case it aligns in a tight conjunction with the South Node which represents our past history and karmic ties. The Lunar Nodes give eclipses greater significance since we are confronting and clearing energies that continue to lurk from the past. While we are fostering this new beginning and creating new ideas for the future, something or someone from the past will require our attention. We can’t move forward without integrating these lessons.

Mercury, Gemini’s ruler, is conjunct Jupiter at the New Moon which enhances the mind and facilitates understanding. However, Neptune squares the lunation and the South Node which brings an element of mystery and confusion into the mix. The Gemini New Moon wants to be free like a bird to fly above the earth and collect new viewpoints, but Neptune challenges us to surrender our ideas of the way the world works and instead learn to trust our intuitive inner voice. This can create some confusion if we are unused to living a life simultaneously in our inner and outer worlds but it is exactly this experience that leads us to a deeper wisdom.

We have more Geminian energy with the retrograde turn of Venus a few days ago, and the upcoming Transit of Venus across the Sun. Venus retrograde asks us to look back and reassess what it is that we value and how those aspects of our life support us and the world around us.  Gemini seeks understanding without judgment – it is a learning without discrimination or attachment.  Each idea and suggestion has its own value and adds to the richly colored tapestry of life.

The challenging square from Uranus (radical revolution) to Pluto (death and regeneration) continues to oversee every smaller planetary cycle.  This is not a time to hold onto the past or fear the future, because the past is crumbling away under our feet.  The Gemini New Moon grants us an opportunity to gain understanding through the mental realm that can help to support us as we move into this brave new world.
