The Fifth Sacred Thing and upcoming Water Wars

In 1993 Starhawk, an early spokesperson for the neo-pagan movement, wrote a book called The Fifth Sacred Thing.  In this post-apocalyptic novel, set in San Francisco, a theocratic dictatorship has seized all of the assets of the earth: air, food and water, and is the sole source of pharmaceutical antidotes for the ecological poisons they themselves create.  The Fifth Sacred Thing is Spirit, after the four elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water. It is a scenario that is not so far-fetched today, but in 1993 a world such as […]

Pluto in Capricorn and our decaying infrastructure

While I am on vacation I will try to do some posting but meanwhile I wanted to repost some articles that may still be of interest to my readers.  Here’s one from 2008 that is particularly relevant in light of the collapsing bridges that we have seen over the past couple of months in Washington, Ontario, Penang and Missouri.     One of the things I believe we’ll be facing over the next few years as Pluto travels through Capricorn is the erosion of the structures that support our human […]

Richard Nolle predicted the earthquake in Turkey

If you don’t already subscribe to Richard’s planetary forecast, I strongly recommend it. In his October forecast he notes that the Scorpio New Moon on October 26th is a SuperMoon with potential for significant geocosmic effects: The likelihood of destructive storms, seismic events (including magnitude 5+ earthquakes and volcanic eruptions) as well as extreme tidal surges associated with the October 23-30 SuperMoon shock window is planet-wide in potential. If there are signs of particular target zones, they may be suggested by the astro-locality map for this alignment. This includes a longitudinal […]

Fires and floods

Fires are burning in North Carolina, New Mexico and Arizona, floods are raging in North Dakota and the Phillipines.  Earlier this spring  record numbers of tornadoes ripped through areas of the country not known for them. Earlier this spring we had a heavy preponderance of fire which is no longer the case, but we do have Uranus in Aries, which is extremely electrical, set off against the Sun and Pluto as I’ve been writing for the past week.  Transformative events which kill off the status quo are to be expected  now. […]

Uranium and Plutonium = Uranus and Pluto

In a stunning display of astrological synchronicity, it turns out that the reactor (known as Unit 3) in the Fukushima nuclear plant that exploded yesterday is more toxic than the other reactors because of the fuel that’s been used there. At a press conference in Tokyo, Masashi Goto, who worked for Toshiba as a reactor researcher and designer, said the mixed oxide (MOX) fuel used in unit 3 of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant contains plutonium, which is much more toxic than the fuel used in the other reactors. MOX […]

Will the Supermoon wreak more havoc on the world?

Astrology is back in the mainstream news, with articles like this that have been circulating the internet lately: The powerful tsunami that today slammed into Japan’s eastern coast comes just two days after warnings that the movement of the moon could trigger unpredictable events on Earth. Astrologers predicted that on March 19 – a week tomorrow – the so-called ‘supermoon’ will be closer to Earth than at any time since 1992, just 221,567 miles away, and that its gravitational pull will bring chaos to Earth. Others on the Internet have […]

And now, earthquakes and tsunamis

Anyone who has been reading this blog will remember that when Pluto (the destroyer/renewer) entered Capricorn, the Earth sign of material stability, I (and other astrologers) predicted that when Uranus, the planet of radical change, entered Aries and began to form a challenging square to Pluto that earthquakes, pole shifts and other earth changes were likely to occur. Right on schedule, with Uranus entering Aries today, the largest earthquake ever to hit Japan (8.9 magnitude) struck today, resulting in a tsunami that swept across the Pacific and forced evacuations in […]

Pluto and Ceres: The Hungarian red sludge disaster

The first phase of the Pluto/Ceres conjunction brought us the Horizon oil rig disaster, and now as Ceres prepares to conjoin Pluto for the second time we have a “flood of red sludge” that could equal or exceed the negative effects to the environment of the oil spill: As Hungarian authorities take stock of the formidable task to clean up a toxic sludge spill that has killed at least four people, many environmentalist groups say the government should outlaw storing toxic red sludge from alumina processing in open reservoirs. Those […]

Catching up after vacation: Horizon Oil Rig disaster

I’m back, and what a wonderful vacation!  But there is so much to write about… I wrote about this oil spill a few months ago in connection with the conjunction of Pluto to Ceres that was occurring at the time.  But it’s now clear that this eruption is a major ecological disaster that could have horrific long-range effects so I took another look at the chart of the event (April 20, 2010, 9:45 am CDT, coordinates 28N 88W).  This chart shows the approaching Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Pisces (the sea) straddling […]

The Astrology of “Climategate”

The case for the fight against global warming took a blog in late November when a hacker stole more than 1,000 emails and 3,000 other documents from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia.  The unidentified hacker then uploaded a copy of the documents to the Real Climate website on November 17. At the time, Saturn was in an exact square (90 degree angle) to Pluto.  Saturn regulates the establishment, and Pluto is the Great Transformer so when these two are in conflict, there is general an […]
